Richard Bull/Cynthia Novack Memorial Dedication - January 15, 2007

IAE will dedicate a space - in memory of Richard Bull, Cynthia Novack and The Warren Street Performance Loft - at Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) in downtown Manhattan. A formal unveiling of the dedication at the front desk/lobby of the new DNA will take place on January 15, 2007, followed by a performance of RBDT-inspired work. The exciting lineup of performers will include: Peentz Dubble & Jane Ira Bloom, Susan Foster (dancing to a score created by Deborah Hay), George Russell, Headlong Dance Theater, De Facto Dance, and Musicians: Katie Bull, Joe Fonda, Brenda Bufalino, and Jay Clayton. We are looking forward to celebrating this dedication as a prominent reminder of the tremendous legacy of Richard and Cynthia’s dance-making, teaching and writing, and the community of artists who frequented the Loft. This tribute will serve as a tangible testament to the legacy of their innovative work. Thank you to all the IAE contributors who helped us to make this important dedication a reality!
